That same year ther...I had not heard of this storm. That same year there was a blizzard on the East coast that was called the "Great White Hurricane" and it devastated the coast from New Jersey to Maine. This one was in March. Weather is fascinating. I've been thru hurricanes (Harvey, Ike, Rita) and tornadoes. Both are scary, but a hurricane goes on and on like it will never end whereas a tornado is over in seconds. I was in a safe building for one tornado, but we were driving on the highway in driving rain when another passed not more than a quarter of a mile away from the highway. Harvey taught me the resilience of people in time of crisis, and stuff is stuff, but life is the most important thing we have. Thanks for the post. Martha W.
