Incredible to think about going a whole year without a bath! I will share this with our son and fiance, as they are marrying on June 29 this year. sharon, wileygreen1(at)yahoo(dot)comsharon mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10130208778591424260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-11827258886433014202014-06-09T10:29:49.464-04:002014-06-09T10:29:49.464-04:00Wow! We married June 4 (on a Monday - the day of health) because it was the first free day after the end of the college spring semester (aside from the weekend).Davalyn Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07790903623368896086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-52562285021181010102014-06-04T10:35:39.378-04:002014-06-04T10:35:39.378-04:00My wedding date was determined by the availability...My wedding date was determined by the availability of the church and reception venue. We had wanted an August wedding but got married in July to have the places we wanted. My daughter is now engaged and will get a date also based on venue booking - so far she has it narrowed down to a month and year. Thank you for the interesting post!

Linda Hutchins
lindajhutchins@gmail.comLindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17892184025006322254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-79490867820052763912014-06-04T03:39:43.921-04:002014-06-04T03:39:43.921-04:00Hi Cynthia! The church was available as was our pastor and we wanted to get married before his grandmother passed away. Luckily the girl he left me for was available that day since it became her wedding day instead of mine!
kam110476 at gmail dot comkam110476https://www.blogger.com/profile/01693696612437738986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-34731388456966168862014-06-03T23:24:07.604-04:002014-06-03T23:24:07.604-04:00Good evening, Ms. Hickey,

Sorry it took me so long to sort out how to use them properly, as I have thought about the ladies of the Society (my endearing name for this lovely author group blog!) ever since I used to drop-in regularly! I am hopeful that I can once more settle into reading the posts on a daily/weekly basis and enjoying your company! :) So much has been happening in my life since I was last here it nearly feels like I've been gone longer than I have! Oy. Now then, today's topic,...

On marriage and time of the year for marriage -- I was bourne in June, and my parents picked May to marry, so you could say modern men & women are not letting superstitions on the time of year sway them anymore! I have heard of the Celtic histories of the different breakdowns of the time of the year. The irony with my parents is that they kept dancing around the 'day' and 'month' to marry because my Dad truly loved my Mom. He wanted to marry her as soon as he met her! I kid you not! However, Mum wanted a wedding after a small courtship -- they settled on 'nine months' in May! :) Laughs with mirth.

inkand-bookaways(at)usa(dot)netAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-27936302871637229782014-06-03T21:10:05.995-04:002014-06-03T21:10:05.995-04:00Great post - I chose a january winter wedding and ...Great post - I chose a january winter wedding and hoped it would snow - we had 7 inches that weekend!
