I would love to take a train from Colorado to California, though. Could meet some fascinating people on a trip like that, and it would be fun to chug through the mountain passes on the way to the ocean.Tiffany Amber Stocktonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015308280449078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-88243714420228147982017-11-14T10:46:51.292-05:002017-11-14T10:46:51.292-05:00That was very smart, bringing your own food, as di...That was very smart, bringing your own food, as dining on a train can be quite pricey! Sort of like meals on a cruise ship. But that observation deck does sound like an amazing experience. They have one on a short-track train here in Colorado that goes to the Royal Gorge. One of these days, I'll go and take our kids. As for the writing, stay tuned for more next month. :)Tiffany Amber Stocktonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015308280449078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-55164459241382181552017-11-14T10:43:19.090-05:002017-11-14T10:43:19.090-05:00That sounds like so much fun!! And we just reclined our seats a little and didn't sleep in a sleeper compartment. However, the highlight of the trip was going up to the glass-enclosed observation deck and looking out at the landscape. The bad part was that we went through the parts of the country affected by an earlier hurricane, so the train swayed back and forth from the warped rails. I like the pictures and the book excerpt most, and I would definitely like to read more.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11672101774806024667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-2786182344834515202017-11-09T09:16:14.169-05:002017-11-09T09:16:14.169-05:00My husband and I took an overseas trip years ago a...My husband and I took an overseas trip years ago and one night we took a train from Italy to Germany.
