Then Jesus tapped my shoulder during prayer time and let me know church music had nothing to do with me, but all about Him. If worship, in any form, is directed toward and focused on Him, it is good and right. Too bad some others don't have that revelation. Satan is at work all the time in all generations. Our church is unified too. It is a blessing.Martha W. But it's home to us! Our Pastor preaches the truth of the Gospel. I'm sure the devil laughed all the way to the river. I have met people like that who only want their own way. The enemy loves us to disagree over music, since he was the worship leader before he got cast out of heaven.

So blessed to be in a body of believers who worship in one accord. :-)Cheryl St.Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00947267011326863581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-79040078112980978272016-04-11T12:12:50.731-04:002016-04-11T12:12:50.731-04:00My son's church in Waco is going through those...My son's church in Waco is going through those stages now. Their long-time pastor died last year from cancer and they just had a new one come on staff. They hope he will be able to lead them into the next phase of building. So glad you have the buildings you need now. May your church continue to grow and expand. Thanks for the tweets.Martha W. We have agreed to disagree and we don't talk about it anymore. I sing in the choir and I love our music, he doesn't. Music has led to controversy though the ages of the church, so this is nothing new and when the next "new" thing comes along, we'll have complaining then as well. :)Martha W. The congregation first met in the elementary school across the street from the church's property. First, a fellowship hall was built and we met there. Two new sanctuaries have been built through the years and also a very large gym building. There have been many growing pains, but everything has worked out. (I tweeted about the giveaway and will also put it on my Pinterest book giveaway board).KayMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09972922396306756344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-19857527892632371432016-04-11T11:51:58.948-04:002016-04-11T11:51:58.948-04:00Very interesting post! The music controversy is historic, I see. One of my friends is very upset and vocal about the changes in music at her church. I think she should go with the flow, but she is so out-spoken and opinionated. I think it causes her more heartache than anyone else. I feel bad for her.
may_dayzee(at)yahoo(dot)comKayMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09972922396306756344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-5302909406224930532016-04-11T11:48:04.519-04:002016-04-11T11:48:04.519-04:00My church in Blackwell TX is over 100 years old. My husband and I went from a small country church to this large, two-service setting with upwards of 150 at each service!
