I live half an hour's drive from Superior, WI/Duluth MN, and last week a family of 5 bears made their way into a neighborhood in Duluth. Looks like it won't be for a long, long time! The boys have 8' fencing around the whole thing right up to our yard.Naomi Muschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12085434185905946302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-41026214898900752912021-03-30T14:26:58.755-04:002021-03-30T14:26:58.755-04:00That's quite a history of your other house, an...That's quite a history of your other house, and now it's cool that you're establishing your home's early life history!Naomi Muschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12085434185905946302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-14743676644502042152021-03-30T14:26:01.447-04:002021-03-30T14:26:01.447-04:00Thank you, Connie! Then I moved to Philadelphia where I live across the street from the largest city owned park in the world, or so I'm told. Many times I'll see deer across the street and plenty of small wildlife in my backyard. Your novel sounds like one I'd enjoy. All the best in your writing.Pat Jeanne Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05000956321646970512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-73857638589593166672021-03-29T13:35:22.408-04:002021-03-29T13:35:22.408-04:00Love your country setting and your book sounds so ...Love your country setting and your book sounds so amazing Thank you for sharing!Sarah Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02216153593578528271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-90024441694206751642021-03-29T11:55:06.395-04:002021-03-29T11:55:06.395-04:00Naomi, I love your country setting. Our family owned it for over 40 years but with the passing our dad and all of us children away mother moved into town. At least I have a woods in back of my home now and it's on the edge of city limits. Learning the history of the land must be exciting and take your imagination back in time. I'm sad to say both the maternal and paternal side of my family, long ago, owned a lot of land in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina but it has all been sold away or inherited out of the family by uncaring spouses. Happy to see your sons are maintaining the family property. Many young people are not interested in owning land, especially living on working farms. They just want the money and run. Glad you've joined HHH and look forward to reading more from you. My current home is "only" 50 years old, but the house we moved from was built in 1850, and I had a wonderful time researching all the owners who ranged from preachers to blacksmiths.
