Of course, it helps the berries to add some sweetener to the recipe. Then the flavor blossoms! I'll never forget my oldest son when he was a toddler. I was making cranberry bread for Thanksgiving and a few berries had rolled onto the floor. My son always thought that everything "red" was yummy, until he tasted the sour fruit! He made a terrible face, spit it out, then went back for another one that rolled onto the floor! I'm not certain when he realized that they ALL were sour!
