I know when I was in elementary school, the honor students took a trip to D.C. and I had the chance to tour all of the White House. Don't remember much, and cameras weren't allowed, but I do recall being inside. :)Tiffany Amber Stocktonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015308280449078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-41462186352489093332016-08-09T08:52:27.338-04:002016-08-09T08:52:27.338-04:00Our son-in-law was a member of the Secret Service,...Our son-in-law was a member of the Secret Service, posted in the West Wing during George W Bush's Presidency. After an extensive background check, my husband and I toured the West Wing with him and my daughter! It was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. I really enjoy your History lessons, Amber!
Dblaser(at)windstream(dot)netAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17108506592927283558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-24274481983715003132016-07-11T14:14:59.878-04:002016-07-11T14:14:59.878-04:00Aww, thank you, Debbie. :)Aww, thank you, Debbie. :)Tiffany Amber Stocktonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015308280449078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-83180086738220598172016-07-11T14:14:42.424-04:002016-07-11T14:14:42.424-04:00I might not have agreed with some of President Wil...I might not have agreed with some of President Wilson's policies, but being slightly related to him has created a great deal of fascination in his life. Quite an honor. And I love the flipping of the coin to see who would sit closest to the grandstand. If only all negotiations were completed so easily. :)Tiffany Amber Stocktonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05015308280449078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-56760558366468215222016-07-11T14:09:01.784-04:002016-07-11T14:09:01.784-04:00I agree, Connie. I think the gold piece is beautiful. I especially think the gold coin is beautiful for the symbolism on the back. Yes, I think it would be a great addition to your collection!
may_dayzee(at)yahoo(dot)comKayMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09972922396306756344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-30313903833760516102016-07-09T13:58:06.825-04:002016-07-09T13:58:06.825-04:00missionwife@hotmail.com missionwife@hotmail.com Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04555284768417353619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-87841350097310147202016-07-09T13:57:21.888-04:002016-07-09T13:57:21.888-04:00I love that your cousin came to know the president...I love that your cousin came to know the president because of shellfish! Food brings everyone closer together!

I've been to the White House twice, in high school. A 4H winner and a speech winner for Rural Electric. I met Jimmy Carter on the latter.

My granddad Knell and Brother Adams led the Inargual Parade for President Truman, with their Missouri Show Me mules! Truman was born in Lamar, MO. Grandad and Adams flipped a coin to see who would sit on the side of the wagon, closest to the grandstand, my grandad won.
