It's always interesting to me that Oct. 31 is marked "Reformationstag" on the German calendar, not Halloween! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-68133928259053983372017-10-06T14:45:09.090-04:002017-10-06T14:45:09.090-04:0050 years later, I still remember our 3/4 grade tea...50 years later, I still remember our 3/4 grade teacher asking the class what October 31 was. I made the terrible error of saying Halloween. While the young grades had a small party with costumes and candy, our big cellebration was Reformation Day. Certainly never thought back then, as is the way of children, that I would be alive for the 500th anniversary! It means more to me now than in those days and I can well appreciate what Luther and his wife endured. Thank you for your informative article! It is a reminder of some of those brave souls who sought for and stood true to faith in the God of the scriptures.Mama Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06223566907992426009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-39674061138404346872017-10-06T08:06:40.525-04:002017-10-06T08:06:40.525-04:00I have heard of the Reformation. This was an interesting and informative article . Thanks for posting it. If you haven’t seen the Luther movie that was just on PBS, look it up. You will see what Kiersti is talking about. It expands on the information in this article and was written with the help of many Lutheran scholars. It is excellent and true to Lutheran doctrine.
