What it comes down to is balancing human safety against history, and then trying to find money to even it out. And of course, the bigger the historic building, the more expensive it becomes to save it.

Thanks for sharing. :)Anita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-51536758607319698322015-08-11T22:57:19.463-04:002015-08-11T22:57:19.463-04:00Thanks Anita. No haven't seen a place saved at last minute, but have seen on our news where people were fighting to save old places for history. Also, people trying to save our Dome in House that was built for baseball. and used for other events. It was the first dome and a top that open on nice nights. It was called the Seventh Wonder. Surely they could find a use for it. They say it is too expensive for upkeep. will be a shame when they tear it down. Love the pictures. Thanks! Since all the buildings were designed and built by the same people, it stands to reason that the 2nd meeting house was as sound as the temple and David Willson's study, both of which we saved. But so far, I haven't found anything to suggest the reason other than that the farmer who bought it needed the materials.

With David Willson being such a visionary, it makes me wonder about his family tree. Another area of research. :DAnita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-84934071367708917382015-08-05T10:20:07.504-04:002015-08-05T10:20:07.504-04:00Very interesting thanks for sharing.Very interesting thanks for sharing.kim hansenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12951846304316134717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-66562702312446496012015-08-05T10:12:11.845-04:002015-08-05T10:12:11.845-04:00This is so very interesting. Oh - and close up photos of the ark/altar which is where the prolific David Willson hid all the music he created.

Thank you for visiting me here today. :)Anita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4271375082145370896.post-86614562980389107482015-08-05T07:38:47.466-04:002015-08-05T07:38:47.466-04:00Fascinating post!
