American Heritage Museum - Hudson, MA

WWII artifacts, including over 15 tanks, are displayed as a part of the museum's exhibitions.

"At the American Heritage Museum you explore America’s conflicts, beginning with the Revolutionary War to today. You’ll discover, and interact with, our heritage through the History, the national effort developing new technologies of warfare, and the Human Impact of America’s fight to preserve the freedom we all hold dear" (American Heritage Museum Website).

Florida's WWII Heritage Trail

On February 1st we'll take a look at some of the best WWII museums in France.

Have you visited any of these museums shared today? Have you enjoyed visiting other WWII museums which are not included in today's blog?

  1. My dad was very involved in the WWII aeronautical efforts. He was in the first graduating class of aeronautical engineers at the University of Minnesota. He and his friends were quickly snapped up by Boeing and sent to the West coast. At the tender age of 36, Daddy was given the job of redesigning the B24 bomber's gun turrets. He had 6 weeks to redesign them, get them fixed and back into the war. He was written up in a few magazines over it.

  6. While I haven't had the opportunity to visit any of the museums featured in your post, I did spent a little less than a year volunteering at a small museum housed within the Brooke County Public Library in Wellsburg, WV after graduating from college. Called the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor (ADBC) Museum, it has quite a few unique items from the Pacific theater. Working there was a humbling experience.
I shared this post on Twitter and Facebook. Thank you so much for the giveaway!
