When I'm not busy being a coffee snob, life is ridiculously full. Two little charges (3 yrs and 9 mos) who I affectionately call Kokomo-Jo and Peter Pan keep me busy after my full days at work as a Director of Hr for a 50+ employee company. Being an HR Director gives me LOTS of fodder for character sketches, although it can also sap me of an mental sanity and leave me wanting when 8:30 pm rolls around, kids are in bed, and I finally can take off my shoes. That's typically when my laptop makes an appearance and the scenes I've composed in my head during the day take life on page.
SO! If you can't tell, we spend ALL our free time with our church youth group of which my husband is the youth pastor. I've yet to mature so it works out great for me. And, we're excited to take Kokomo-Jo out this summer for her first time rock climbing as she's pretty much conquered our climbing wall in our basement. As for Peter Pan ... he brings out the sappy side of me. Those coffee-eyes, what can I say, they're huge and just beg me to baby my boy. Not to mention he's never to grow up and already shows an infinite grasp of mischief--so yep, Peter Pan he is.
I write, oddly enough, Historical Romance stained with suspense. I'm in it about four manuscripts deep and hopefully getting better. I've had lots of great insights and mentoring and continue to work diligently. As a member of ACFW, there's endless resources at hand, so in God's timing and as He sees fit, my name will be on a book cover someday. In the meantime, I heft my coffee cup in your direction, quickly lick up the coffee that just sloshed over its side, and say, "WELCOME!"
MARCH GIVEAWAY: it's only fitting I offer up a 1/2 lb of Free Trade Jamaican coffee from my local gourmet coffee shop! Comment to win!
